1. Introduction
This case study outlines the objectives, challenges, solutions, and implementation strategy of the Web Master system developed for SBZ Prima Sdn Bhd. SBZ Prima Sdn Bhd is a reputable company specializing in the production and distribution of high-quality school hijabs in Malaysia. The Web Master system is part of a strategic initiative to streamline business operations across multiple e-commerce platforms.
2. Objective
The primary goal of this project is to enable SBZ Prima’s administrative staff to manage orders, stock levels, product information, and other operational data from a single centralized platform: the Web Master portal.
3. Project Scope
The Web Master system integrates and synchronizes data across the following websites:
- Customer Website – TudungSiComel.com
- Agent Website – Previously Agen.TudungSiComel.com, now Agen.NiagadiRumah.com
- Marketplace Integrations – Shopee, Lazada, TikTok (via a sync platform)
- Future Product Websites – Other domains offering upcoming products
4. Current Status and Achievements
With the assistance of WPTRIO’s Product Sync and Stock Sync plugins, we successfully synchronized product and stock data across all listed platforms.
However, recurring issues with sync reliability and server resource usage were identified, prompting a reassessment of the sync mechanism.
5. Identified Issues
The following challenges were observed during implementation:
- High CPU and RAM usage during sync operations
- REST API timeouts due to large datasets and product variations
- Lack of scheduling features (cronjobs) in sync plugins
- Conflicting server resource usage during peak hours and backup operations
- Data inconsistencies due to diverse metadata across different platforms (e.g., EasyParcel, J&T Plugin, Custom Order Status)
6. Strategic Solutions
To mitigate the above issues, the following strategies were implemented:
- Migrated to a higher capacity server
- Reduced data sync scope (e.g., excluding product images and static data)
- Increased server timeout limits
- Replaced full backups with rclone to S3 object storage
- Configured Cloudflare with tailored rules to reduce unnecessary API and server requests
- Enhanced security with features such as reCAPTCHA, CORS settings, and secure redirects
7. Order Synchronization Strategy
Due to incompatibility and inconsistency issues with available order sync plugins, we opted for an alternative solution using an IFRAME-based interface. This approach enables:
- Centralized order management from multiple websites
- Lightweight and faster performance
- No conflicts with platform-specific plugins (e.g., EasyParcel, AffiliateWP)
- Seamless UI/UX experience that simulates native WooCommerce order management
A custom “Multi-Orders” menu was added to the Web Master system, allowing staff to manage orders from both customer and agent platforms without leaving the Web Master portal.
8. Conclusion
The Web Master system for SBZ Prima Sdn Bhd has successfully centralized operational management, reduced administrative complexity, and prepared the company for future growth across additional e-commerce platforms. The adoption of a practical IFRAME-based interface has proven effective, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
The system is now live at NiagaDiRumah.net, serving as the primary management interface for TudungSiComel.com and Agen.NiagadiRumah.com.
